Description

Easy chicken tacos made in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Taco shells and toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle with taco seasoning.
  3. Pour diced tomatoes and green chilies and chicken broth over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is easily shredded.
  5. Shred chicken with two forks.
  6. Serve in taco shells with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime juice after shredding.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a richer flavor.
