- 6 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle crumb mixture over the fruit.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and fruit is tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- You can substitute the apples with pears.
- Add nuts to the topping for extra crunch.
