Description
Enjoy flaky salmon with a crispy, sweet, and savory honey garlic glaze. It’s a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6–8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the honey garlic glaze over the fillets. Cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the salmon to absorb the glaze.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
- Serve with rice and your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
