Description

Prepare chicken and dumplings in your crockpot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package (16 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the chicken.
  4. Add cream of chicken soup and cream of mushroom soup.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks.
  7. Stir in the biscuit dough pieces.
  8. Cover and cook on high for 30-45 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Add mixed vegetables for extra nutrients.
  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
