Description

Classic bread stuffing recipe perfect for Thanksgiving or any holiday meal. Easy to customize with your favorite herbs and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf stale bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in sage, thyme, and pepper.
  4. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes and cooked vegetables.
  5. Pour chicken broth over bread mixture and toss to combine.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
