Description

Spicy Boiled Eggs are a flavorful snack, infused with spices and herbs for a viral food experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the peeled, hard-boiled eggs in a resealable bag or container.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Seal the bag or container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the eggs to absorb the flavors.
  5. Before serving, slice the eggs in half.
  6. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy your Spicy Boiled Eggs.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
  • For a deeper flavor, marinate the eggs overnight.
  • Serve as a snack, appetizer, or add to salads and rice bowls.
