Simple and delicious glazed carrots.
Ingredients

- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place carrots in a saucepan.
- Add butter, brown sugar, water, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until carrots are tender and glazed.
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Use honey or maple syrup instead of brown sugar.
