Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  7. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle over the top.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Top with gluten-free fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, use low-sodium chicken broth and fat-free milk.
  • You can substitute fresh mushrooms with canned mushrooms, drained.
  • If you don’t have gluten-free fried onions, you can make your own by frying thinly sliced onions in gluten-free flour.
