- 1 box brownie mix
- Eggs (as called for by brownie mix)
- Oil (as called for by brownie mix)
- Water (as called for by brownie mix)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Orange food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and mix well.
- Add orange food coloring to the cream cheese mixture and stir until you reach your desired color.
- Pour brownie batter into a greased baking pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.
- Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter.
- Bake for the time indicated on the brownie mix package, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate brownie mix.
- You can use other food coloring to create different Halloween themes.
