These Halloween meatballs are a spooky and delicious appetizer. Perfect for your Halloween party.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup black olive slices
- Mozzarella cheese balls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan.
- Add meatballs to marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- To assemble, place a meatball on a plate.
- Top with a mozzarella cheese ball ‘eye’ and a black olive slice ‘pupil’.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- Serve with toothpicks for easy handling.
