Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pound ham, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound salami, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 pound provolone cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup giardiniera, chopped
  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • Lettuce, shredded

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread in half horizontally.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the cut sides of the bread with the dressing.
  4. On the bottom half of the bread, layer the ham, salami, provolone, giardiniera, roasted red peppers, and lettuce.
  5. Place the top half of the bread over the filling.
  6. Chop the sandwich into small pieces.
  7. Serve immediately.
