Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
