Description

Creamy and flavorful shrimp pasta that is sure to impress.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound pasta, such as fettuccine or linguine
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  4. Pour in white wine and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Drain pasta and add it to the skillet with the shrimp sauce. Toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your liking.
  • For a richer sauce, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add other vegetables, such as spinach or sun-dried tomatoes, to the sauce.
