Description

Pickle de Gallo is a tangy and flavorful twist on traditional pico de gallo, using pickles for a unique crunch and zesty taste. It’s a quick and easy way to add excitement to your meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons pickle brine
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced dill pickles, red onion, tomato, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  2. Add the pickle brine and lime juice to the bowl.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, or your favorite dishes.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño to your preferred level of spiciness.
  • For a milder flavor, use sweet pickles instead of dill pickles.
  • If you don’t have pickle brine, you can use extra lime juice or a splash of white vinegar.
  • This Pickle de Gallo is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
