Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2.5 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup vital wheat gluten
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add salt, bread flour, vital wheat gluten, and protein powder. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  7. Boil the bagels in water for 1 minute per side.
  8. Place the boiled bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
