Description

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 box (14.1 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Pour pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Sprinkle nuts (if using) over the cake mix.
  6. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool completely before serving.

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of melted butter.
