Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Add tapioca pearls and cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
  2. Drain the pearls and rinse with cold water.
  3. In the same saucepan, combine the cooked pearls, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
