Description

Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in diced strawberries and strawberry jam.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
  4. Fold the sides of the wrapper inward, then fold the bottom corner over the filling. Roll tightly to seal, moistening the top corner with water to secure.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth filling.
