Description

These stuffed bell peppers with ground beef are an easy and delicious meal. This recipe is perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 bell peppers, any color
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in cooked rice, onion, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cut the tops off of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  5. Stuff each bell pepper with the ground beef mixture.
  6. Place the stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
  7. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
