  • 1 loaf bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine toasted bread cubes, cooked onion and celery mixture, salt, pepper, parsley, and sage.
  5. Pour chicken broth over the bread mixture and toss gently to combine.
  6. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
