Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine pecan halves, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle pecan mixture evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and casserole is heated through.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
