Description

“Marry Me” chicken is a creamy, flavorful dish sure to impress. It’s simple to make and perfect for a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, oil-packed, drained
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken breasts in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  5. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to the skillet. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes.
  8. Return chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them in the sauce.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a richer flavor.
