- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a moister meatloaf, add 1/4 cup of milk to the mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or ground pork for ground beef.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetables.
