Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a moister meatloaf, add 1/4 cup of milk to the mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or ground pork for ground beef.
