Description

This Vegan Banana Bread recipe is simple to make, moist, and full of flavor. It’s a plant-based twist on a classic comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas.
  3. Add the oil, sugar, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Store the banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
