Description

This Zombie Meatloaf recipe is a fun and delicious twist on a classic comfort food. Perfect for Halloween or any time you want a creative and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Mashed potatoes, for decoration
  • Black olives, sliced, for decoration
  • Ketchup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, green bell pepper, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to give the meatloaf a zombie-like hue.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Let the meatloaf cool slightly before decorating.
  7. Decorate with mashed potatoes to resemble bones or exposed flesh. Use sliced black olives for eyes and ketchup for blood.
  8. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicier meatloaf, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef.
  • Feel free to get creative with your decorations!
