- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Mashed potatoes, for decoration
- Black olives, sliced, for decoration
- Ketchup, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, green bell pepper, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to give the meatloaf a zombie-like hue.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Let the meatloaf cool slightly before decorating.
- Decorate with mashed potatoes to resemble bones or exposed flesh. Use sliced black olives for eyes and ketchup for blood.
- Slice and serve.
